NORTH BAY ELECTRICIAN

North Bay GEO

With a geothermal system, North Bay homeowners can save thousands in energy costs while reducing their carbon footprint.

  • Reduce your heating bills.
  • Eliminate fuel deliveries.
  • Enjoy a cooling system that’s even better than central air!
  • Reduce your dependency on fossil fuels.

Geothermal systems are an environmentally-friendly alternative to oil and gas. They are powerful enough to sustainably heat your home, even in North Bay’s winters!

Our geothermal systems replace your home’s existing air conditioning and heating systems with a heat pump and underground pipes. Geothermal systems safely transfer natural, underground heat to your home in winter.

Are summers too hot for comfort?  In summer, your system’s pipes will return the heat from your house to the ground. Geothermal cooling is even more efficient than central air, and can help you sleep comfortably on a hot summer night.

Our geothermal systems are typically 400% efficient. With rising fuel costs and carbon taxes, geothermal systems are a wise investment in efficient, economical heating and cooling for your home.

How much can I expect to save with geothermal?

Our company can provide you with an economic advisory. This will help you understand the cost savings of running geothermal versus gas over the next 20 years. The efficiency of your system depends on its size, what temperatures you prefer, and the type of system you choose.

How long does it take to install?

Once we receive the required parts, it will typically take 2-3 weeks to install your geothermal system.

Will the installation wreck my landscaping?

No. Our team usually digs a small trench by hand, about 12” wide by 12” deep. We can carefully go through retaining walls and flower gardens, and we return things to their original aesthetic. So normally, we find ways to get things done without impacting your garden.

Do you offer a warranty?

Yes! Most of our systems come with a 10 year parts and 5 year labour warranty.

How long do geothermal systems last?

Our systems typically last 25-30 years. The loops usually last a lifetime.

Are you licensed?

Yes! We’re hold many specialty licenses including:

  • Heat loss
  • Heat gain
  • Radiant design
  • Canadian geothermal designer
  • International geothermal designer
  • Duct design
  • Geothermal installation

Are you insured?

Yes! FGA Trades has $5 million dollars in liability coverage. ($2 million is the minimum for a contracting business operating in Ontario.)

I’m interested. What’s next?

Give us a call! We’ll arrange a time to come to your property and take measurements to determine what size of system would work best. We’ll also check to make sure that your home has the proper ductwork for geothermal.

We’ll provide you with a heat-loss-heat-gain report, size your system appropriately, and give you a quote. This process usually takes one week.

Prices for geothermal systems have been fluctuating, especially given the recent market conditions, but a small geothermal system typically starts at $30,000.
